Umbrella Investor Education Site Adds New Resource for Investors
WASHINGTON, D.C.///January 22, 2002///The non-profit Alliance for Investor Education (AIE) today announced that the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) is the newest organization to join its ranks. The 20-member Alliance for Investor Education Web (www.investoreducation.org) provides investors with access to a full range of information they need to make wise investment decisions. NAREIT (www.nareit.com) is the national trade association for real estate companies. Members are real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other businesses that own, operate and finance income-producing real estate, as well as those firms and individuals who advise, study and service these businesses. AIE President Michael D. Jones said: "I look forward to working closely with NAREIT to help us expand the role of investor education in the financial world and elsewhere. We expect that the ranks of the Alliance will continue to grow to include key investment topics and groups during 2002."
